Spirituality (Moving)

John 3:8 kjv “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it
cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” Ezekiel 1:20 “Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.”

At a very young age (9 or 10) I had driven my bike to a little country store to buy a Mounds candy bar. On my way back home I decided to push my bike, and try to open my candy bar so it did not get squashed by the handle bars. As I began my ‘push’ to my house, a voice spoke loudly to me saying: “You will be a leader someday”. I was a bit shocked, to say the least. I looked around me, the trees and leaves were standing very still (no wind). I looked around—wondering ‘where’ that voice came from? Not a clue, so I kept pushing my bike and eating my candy bar. I am 80 years old, and have looked back to that moment often, still wondering about it. (The Spirit of the living God was telling me something very important; however, I was not catching on.) In my lifetime, I have succeeded in several things that could be labeled ‘leader’. Getting a patent on a ‘new idea’ for a complete work-over of how electric guitars are made/work. Well, I did get a note saying ‘patent applied for’; however, I did not have enough money (at nineteen years old) to go back into the patent office in Washington DC to argue my change in how the tuning apparatus was also in my ‘patent applied for’ file. There was already in an inventor’s file from the early 1900s. (Mine was located in a different area than the guitar’s body—so I had to prove mine was an important new idea.)

Then in the military, I was chosen to be an Army Drill Sergeant during the Vietnam war. I was trained to teach new recruits the ‘ropes’ of modern jungle combat procedures (a rather ‘leader’ type MOS).

Then, at a later time-being aware of many folks struggling to get their electric bills paid, I had a desire to help them. After six months of trying
to understand how and what made solar panels work, I finally made contact after coming close to giving up on the project. With that knowledge ‘welded’ into my mind and heart, I set out on my journey. First at our local college, then around the States, close to me. My son being a creator of videos, we made a video of how to do this, and went globally via the Internet. Then, I got a surprise along that journey. I got an email from Hawaii asking me to fly out there and teach some of the local residents. Yes, they needed this knowledge, so I spent five months on the big Island sharing how to do this. This did not seem to target a larger desire of my heavenly Father’s words (that day when I got off my bike and heard the words ‘Leader someday’), so I waited, and listened.

I had an interest in writing—but was not professional. One day, walking from my car to my newly designed and built A-frame lake home, my Lord stepped in beside me. He said. “Robert I like your gospel writings and want you to go globally with them”. I said to him, “Oh, Lord, I would not have enough writings to last very long”. He replied: You will have more than you need. So I got busy, and started to write. It seemed to ‘flow’ though me like a calm breeze. I did that for ten years, ending up with four hundred Gospel videos circling the earth daily. Then I took a break.

Recently, I joined up with Word Press; that is where this one is going, via the wings of the Holy Spirit.
