For mine eyes have seen thy salvation. Luke 2:30
This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. Psalms 118:23
Periscope:
An apparatus consisting of a tube attached to a set of mirrors or prisms, by which an observer (typically in a submerged submarine or behind a high obstacle) can see things that are otherwise out of sight. This the perfect comparison to what I wanted to use in this writing, that will be going globally to be read by everyone who is interested in removing the ‘blinders’ from our knowledge of Spirituality.
We all have known someone who, without doubt, is special—extra special! This type of person will rise above barriers, negatives, and situations that are, to say the least, very uncomfortable. We may catch them talking to themselves, smiling, and humming a favorite old song. The eyes are beaming on a place maybe no one around them can see. That could be—realizing that the sun is still shining above those darkened clouds. Knowledge of ‘this too shall pass,’ knowing that their creator will never ‘leave nor forsake them.’
We never have to waste much of our time in a dark, cold cave with un-fresh air to breathe. Moving to the heights (where God sits) at his throne of Grace, which can be known to anyone seeking that higher place.
Ephesians 2:1–10:
1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sin
2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience;
3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Note: Verse 6 shows us where we can be when we seek, ask, and knock. Via the cross anyone may come to Christ. To know the knowledge of him who loves us. He died on the old rugged cross in our place, and gives us eternal life. All of this points to the fact that the Spirit of the living God, who raised his Son Jesus from that watery grave where he was laid, was resurrected, and was set down at his Father’s right hand, continues to function in this day and age.
