Ephesians 2:6: “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”
Pouring my cold coffee from the coffee maker (heat turned off overnight), transferring it to my microwave, for one minute, it was time to consider what day it was on Earth. In heavenly places it really doesn’t matter due to the fact that calendars have never been popular or needed there. However, for me, I continue to recall that Saturday night was set aside (often for some) to party and Sundays were set aside to recover in a church pew. In the South fried chicken was on the dinner plate, and in the tip of the North country some were still shoveling snow. Some study their bibles way into the foggy morning dawning, then go to their favorite church bible study and be silent or share with others when it’s their time to talk. Humility reigns.
In the heavenlies, it’s somewhat different. You rest. Yes, you rest until the Spirit gently moves across your space and quietly drops a message to you saying that you are needed on Earth for a special project. Sometimes, we are moved to guide others in looking up bible verses teaching basic spiritual warfare. So, we leave our resting place, being obedient to our call.
The movements of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are very soft and quiet. After they are spoken, they take their position without our permission. Why is that? Simple. We belong to him; he created us for his good purposes. His will allows him to do that. We were chosen before the Earth was created. He had a plan, and he carries it out to perfection. That is how he works and functions. Of course, he has promised that he will give us our hearts’ desires. He has said in his word: Seek and ye shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and it shall opened onto you.
