He Purged Our Sins

Hebrews 1:3 (KJV): “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the [Father],”

Hebrews 1:3 (NASB): “And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. …”

Colossians 1:19–20 (ASV): 19“For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in him should all the fulness dwell; 20and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.”

Ephesians 2:1–10 (ASV): “1And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins, 2wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience; 3among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:— 4but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), 6and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: 7that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus: 8for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not of works, that no man should glory. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.”

Don’t let me assure you that all is ‘hunky-dory’ when our Father (God) works in us to change us from Adam into the image of his loving son Jesus. There is dross in all of us since we were born. (Silver is packed with dross around it while in the ground. It is quite worthless at that point. However, when those little slivers of silver hit the white hot flames of the furnace the dross is burned away, but the heat does not touch the silver. When we are in our Father’s furnaces, our dross is taken out in the same way and our life is then purer for his work that we will be doing. (All this is known as ‘maturing in Christ’.) Note: Jesus also had to suffer to learn obedience.

We can see now and understand why he ‘purged’ our sins. It did not stop at the Cross but carried us directly to heavenly places in Christ Jesus. This is the definite reason why Satan and his cohorts work so hard for us NOT to learn or know these words/facts/promises. The name of Jesus is poison to him. The name of Jesus is a name that rebukes him, and drives him back to where he comes from. (Use it with FORCE as the Holy Spirit gives you power from within.)
