Why would anyone die for the righteous? Romans 5:6–8 (NKJV): “6For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Now, who does a sinner include? Romans 3:23–25 (KJV): “23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.”
All those people, in or out of jails and prisons (yes, even the persons NOT in jails and prisons), my brethren and I, are all included in God’s redemption promise. I guess that is why the Bible teaches us not to judge others.
What does the Bible say about giving your life to Christ? Romans 6:23 (ESV): “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 12:1 (ESV): “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
The gift from God is: Eternal Life.
